Privacy Policy for PixelPulse
Last Updated: June 22, 2026
PixelPulse ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension, PixelPulse (the "Extension"), handles your data.
1. Data Collection & Usage
We do not collect, transmit, distribute, or sell your data.
PixelPulse is designed to be a 100% offline, privacy-first tool. All data analysis, including extracting typography, colors, layouts, accessibility metrics, and component structures, occurs strictly locally within your browser.
We do not collect:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Browsing history
User activity, clicks, or keystrokes
Passwords or authentication credentials
Website content
2. Permissions
To function properly, the Extension requests the following permissions:
activeTab: Allows the extension to analyze the specific webpage you explicitly choose to scan.
scripting: Allows the extension to inject the local scanning script into the active page to extract the design system.
storage: Used exclusively to save your local extension preferences (e.g., auto-scan preferences) directly on your device.
Host Permissions (<all_urls>): Necessary to allow the extension to function on any webpage you visit and choose to analyze.
None of the data accessed via these permissions ever leaves your local machine.
3. Third-Party Services
PixelPulse does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or external APIs. There are no external backend servers associated with the operation of this Extension.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
5. Contact Us
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact the developer.
